Reunion Heroes

By Bob Oliver:

I want to thank especially:

John Stewart for the magnificent Reunion Book and for his continuing hard work to produce the Supplement which is forthcoming later this summer. John also found the time to coordinate singing groups.

Bill Reilly, our Reunion Gift Chairman, for his record setting success

Larry Lipsher for his special projects, including helping with golf and setting up the panel on “The Military Returns to Yale”

David Scharff for spectacularly coordinating six different class panels

Bill Weeden and David Finkle for producing the hilarious entertainment program

Peter Sipple for his moving memorial service

Dixie Carroll, assisted by Louis Mackall, for the class art exhibition

Ed Rowan for the book exhibit

Al Chambers, assisted by Celine Sullivan of Smith, for our 50th year Reunion Survey and presentation. Al also helped on the website and with publicity.

Dan Koenigsberg
David Fobes
Art Trotman
Lee Bakunin

All our “Gleeful Clubbers” who sang the familiar Yale favorites Saturday night, and the classmates and spouses in the choir assembled by Peter Sipple for the memorial service

Clark Winslow, Gus Hedlund and David Crosby, whose generosity helped us publish the fine hard cover Reunion Book

All the classmates who made special contributions to the class dues fund during the last five years which helped defray expenses. They are rightly called Reunion Sponsors

Above all to our class officers for their support and wisdom:

Secretary Jim White
Treasurer David Honneus
Corr. Sec. Mike Kane
Bill Boyer, Alumni Fund Chairman of Agents

So many others who helped along the way or whom I have inadvertently overlooked.

And not incidentally, my wife Barbara for her infectious good humor, long suffering patience, continual support and energetic photography.

It was a good time and the weather was a big help but basically it was everyone who attended who made it a success.  May the memories and fellowship sustain and inspire us in the years to come.
