This spring, Dave and Cindy took a tour from Prague (in the Czech Republic) to Budapest, Hungary, and if you thought those tranquil European rivers in the cruise commercials that went with “Downton Abby” looked doctored, scroll to Cindy’s shot of Cesky-Krumlov, their favorite of the “small, lovely, clean and picturesque towns” they saw.

The Touring Twosome have now tripped to 146 countries, and this fall plan to add Luxembourg, Andorra, Cypress and Israel. That’ll bring their score to 77 percent of the world’s generally recognized countries.

Says Cindy

Says Cindy, “The faded colors on the sides of the slum housing (l.) make kind of an interesting pattern. Plastic bags, tarps and old tires with ropes inside (center) provide some kind of a waterproof roof. It was nice to see these areas with neat roofs (r.), indicating that new housing had been built.”

    Bravo! Keep traveling–and tell me if you get (again, I assume) to Santiago, Chile. My wife visited Cesky-Krumlov this February and was as smitten as you.
